Crystal River Coal-Fired Power Plant Tour!
Concluding the annual
FL A&WMA Conference, the tour will begin in the
"Clean Air" Control Room of the Crystal River Power
Plant (Units 4 and 5). Here, the pollution control
systems are monitored and controlled, then we will
head out to the wet FGD scrubber, the SCR, the
electrostatic precipitator and the associated
material handling (urea, limestone, gypsum) and
waste water treatment systems. The tour will include
a general discussion of the plant, which will
include fuel storage and handling, the cooling
towers, and other devices. We look forward to seeing
you!
