Membership

A&WMA provides programs and activities designed and conducted by environmental professionals for environmental professionals. Membership in A&WMA provides access to a worldwide network of more than 8,000 individuals from industry, government, and the consulting, research, academic, and legal communities who engage in the exchange of technical and managerial information.

As a member, you receive:

· A year's subscription to either The Journal of the Air & Waste Management Association or EM, A&WMA's monthly news magazine for Environmental managers.

· Access to a searchable, online membership directory, which contains contact information for members.

· Discounts of 20-30% on registration fees for the Association's Annual Conference & Exhibition, specialty conferences, workshops, seminars and education courses. And, discounts of up to 25% on Association publications, videotapes and discs.

· Access to local Section and Chapter events.

International Membership

Organizational Membership

The newly defined membership classification of Organizational Member is open to all organizations.

The company (at one office address) pays $365 per year (in the case of government agencies, each division is considered a separate organization). Each company employee pays $55 per year to become a full A&WMA member, with all the benefits of an individual membership. What a deal. · One Deluxe Membership for the designated organizational member, who will receive both EM and the Journal

· Employees at the organization’s address can become individual members of A&WMA for $55 per year instead of $150. To apply, the employee must provide their employer’s Organizational Member number on their membership application form and must use the same mailing address as their employer to receive mailings from A&WMA.

· Organizational Members may purchase a library subscription to EM and Journal for only $75 per year.

· Organizational Members will be listed in each issue of EM and in the Annual Conference & Exhibition program.

· Organizational Members will receive discounts on certain exhibits and advertising opportunities with A&WMA, starting in July 2004.

· Florida Organizational Members:  Golder Associates, MACTEC, Orange County EPD, Palm Beach County Public Health

Those who are not A&WMA Members, but who are interested in the activities of the A&WMA Florida Section, can become a Local Associate of the Section and the selected local Chapter. Local Associates pay a lower dues rate than members but are not recognized by A&WMA. As an Associate, you will receive the quarterly newsletter designed to keep you informed of Florida

Section news, Local Chapter news, the Annual Technical Conference details, and important Florida regulatory developments. 

 

Associates also receive special reduced rates at the Annual Technical Conference. When you join the Florida Section you will automatically become an Associate of a local Chapter* if there is one active in your geographic area. Currently there are six local Chapters: Big Bend; Central Florida; Coastal Plains; Northeast; Southeast; and Tampa Bay. You may join multiple Chapters by including the appropriate fee.
